Namibia is an open country with game reserves and plenty of wild life to be seen. The population are 1.8 million with 43% under the age of 14 years. There are 28 different languages among the ethnic groups. From 1883 - 1915 the country was called the Dutch West Africa. In 1915 - 1990 it became South West Africa and during 1990 they became independent and the name changed to Namibia. Aids has taken it's toll in the country leaving aids orphans, widowers and widows by the thousands. This influence the workforce and the future of the country. The crime rate, prostitution and drugs are increasing due to the fact that many young people are under-educated and unemployed. Child Evangelism Fellowship® in Namibia. Our goal is to reach out to children between the ages of 4 to 14 years with the Gospel. This will transform their lives, give them hope and a solid foundation to built their lives on. The children are reached through: Weekly Good News Clubs in their neighbourhood Camps 5 Day clubs during school holidays Party Clubs During  2006 a total of 12 000 children were reached, most of them on a weekly basis, and 24% accepted Christ as Saviour for the first time. The Year 2007 We have started a training program of 123 Pre-School teachers at about 87 pre - schools to reach the children with the Gospel. About 6000 pre-schoolers will be reached daily. Our National office staff are developing a program where we identify people in different towns who are willing to reach the children and provide them with training, equipment and material to reach the children. We will conduct workshops and training sessions to help them do this. 3.    We will train teenagers older than 15 years old who has outgrown the        Good News Club and are prepared to be trained so they can have    their own Good News Clubs through a special training program. and have a desire to reach children in their own neighborho As this year is progressing we are excited for what the Lord has already done.
