General Information:
Two missionaries serve the Lord with joy in Botswana.
Audrey Johnson from the U.S.A and Reuben Akormedi from
Ghana is the people responsible for C.E.F in Botswana. Reuben is the
chairman of the board of C.E.F in Botswana and can be contacted if
more want to be known about C.E.F Botswana.
Botswana is one of the oldest democracies in Africa
and has a good ruling government that loves and serves the people.
The Botswana people are peace loving and hard working people. It has
a small population of only 1,7 million people and almost 50% of these
people are under the age of 15. That means almost half of the
population are in the target group of CEF.
Botswana has a good prosperous economy and diamonds
are one of the providers of this economy. Many people from
neighbouring countries wants to immigrate to Botswana because of its
economy and the people in the country. Cattle farming are a booming industries.
Education is of high standard and the Pula (money)
stands strong with main currencies in the world.
In most ways Botswana is an example of what Africa can
be with good rulers and strict law enforcement.
The shadow on all good of Botswana is that the
population is shrinking because of AIDS. According to some reports
Botswana has the highest AIDS rate in the world. The government does
all possible to reduce this and gives medical treatment to expectant
mothers and to babies.
We can pray for the people of Botswana that they will
conquer this bad sickness.
There is however only one way to stop AIDS in Africa
and that is to live they way God intended and planned for His people.
If we can reach the children of Botswana, the next generation will
also live in peace but without AIDS.
Pray for Reuben and his team and also for the rulers of
this beautiful country. To be a full time worker in Botswana means
financial help of about $300/month.
